Presentation of a selection from the File Rio exhibition at the Trienal de Luanda (Angola).

‘FILE has being invited by the Triennial Biennale of Luanda Committee to show a slice of what was shown in FILE RIO 2006 at the Biennale. The project proposal is the exercise of art and culture as an essential vector for the humanization of contemporary society. This is the first cultural event after the civil war and has as a goal place Angola in the contemporary culture scene. In that sense they have chosen some cultural organizations and institution that they found relevant to show at this moment to the Angola people.’

Videoclip for the brilliant Young Punx; ‘You’ve got to…’

The Young Punx are London based Hal Ritson and Cameron Saunders.

2007 will see The Young Punx release their debut album - a crossover cocktail of elements of popular culture mashed with pumping house, nuskool breaks, drum and bass, heavy rock and 80s pop. The album will feature tracks such as ‘Young And Beautiful’ and ‘You’ve Got To…’ which features on the FIFA 07 game from EA Games.

An interactive concert held in Japan, produced by Gil Kuno (Gil created the music for ‘Flow‘). The audience was given headphone radios to tune into the artists of their choice. 4 DJs and 4 VJs were performing simultaneously to the same beat. Everyone was able to mix and match their favorite DJ/VJ combination.

A bit late this posting but it was such a weird experience to contribute to this party by controlling a laptop at the venue in Tokyo from my studio in The Netherlands at 8 in the (sunday)morning.
It was very difficult to see what was going on at the time. There was a webcam running but the connection wasn’t very stable.

Today I found a little video of the party on YouTube.

Now I know what I was doing back then… (sort of)
